A Winning Combination in This Palace in the Middle of the Jungle.
The prince and princess - and, let’s not forget their daughter - are a winning combination. They made our three nights stay in this 1940 palace in the middle of the beautiful jungle into a very enchanting experience. Nature and serenity

Были в этом прекрасном поместье в марте, добрые , приветливые хозяева ! Видно что горят и любят свое дело, это сказывалось на всем практически! Расписанные комнаты, просторные гостиные, шикарный балкон! Сама хозяйка дома готовит чудесные фруктовые напитки! Про еду вообще можно было бы оставить отдельный отзыв, так было вкусно! Хозяин, он же один из правящей семьи в прошлом провел пешие экскурсии,позаботился о сафари! Мы увидели слонов, лосей !! Во всем протяжении нашего пребывания были окутаны заботой! Royal homestay
Lovely place to unwind for a few days. Jungles all round. Fresh unpolluted air. Birds chirping throughout the day. There is a Simul (cotton) tree just in front of the porch where multiple spices of birds come. We saw Starlings, Black headed oriole, parrots, Magpie Robins. There is a huge waterbody on the estate where some Whistling teals and Egrets are present. We spotted some Jungle fowl and Barking deers there. My friends saw some Bee-eaters and a Serpent Eagle too.Very close by is the Kapilash temple and the Kapilash wildlife sanctuary. They have got new open air luxurious safari vehicles (not the open Gypsies). So it was a great experience. We saw Spotted deer, Sambar, Giant Squirrel, Emerald doves and Paradise fly catcher.His Royal Highness, Kunwarji and Kunwarji's wife are extremely nice and down-to-earth people who go out of the way to make your stay a memorable experience.

Great hosts and an  interesting place to stay

Eine Zeitreise
Die Unterkunft bzw. der Palast war ein der schönsten Stops auf unserer Reise entlang der Ostküste. Man fühlt sich in der Zeit zurück versetzt und kann sich vorstellen wie die königliche Familie hier in vergangener Zeit residierte. Das Zimmer war riesig, sauber und hatte individuellen Charme. Die Gastgeber Familie und ihr Labrador sind liebenswert, das Essen reichhaltig und lecker. Die Umgebung läd zum erkunden und die Natur zum Entspannen ein. The Magic of Gajlaxmi Palace
Philippa Scotland UK 2023It's wonderful to be back at this "Palace in the Woods" where I stayed with my husband in 2018. The opportunities for watching wildlife are brilliant. The nearby waterhole attracts, birds, rare deer, wild boar, monkeys, porcupine and elephants to drink in the cool of dawn and dusk. JP and Navneeta are excellent hosts. He can organise bird watching, forest safaris, forest walks, and tribal village tours. Navneeta is an excellent cook and uses the best local organic produce to make delicious meals. Megha the crown of Gajlaxmi , by night
Gajlaxmi is an experience to behold. Tranquility is what you find in abundance along with the hospitality of the hosts.Today, it was the mesmerizing view of Megha by night. Charming Palace in nature's lap

Unique forest stay in Dhenkanal
It was a very good stay... Amazing property with an old world charm, right in the middle of the forest. The morning jungle walk and the night safari were the highlights! Very homely food and lots of jungle stories. The hosts are friendly and engages with the guests. In fact, JP Singh Deo took us on the night safari himself.
